Nick Karazissis is one of the most successful trainers on the West Coast. With his brother Kost and his sister-in- law Jenny, the Karazissis family owns and operates Far West Farms in Calabasas, California
.
For the last 27 years, Far West Farms has been synonymous with quality, tradition, and blue ribbons. The Far West Farms team is responsible for many “A” Pacific Coast Horse Show Association (PCHA) year-end championships and is always consistent in its yearly wins and multiple placings in medal finals. Nick coached and trained the 1999 PCHA Horsemanship Champion “JamieTaylor” for her big win at the Portuguese Bend National Horse Show held in September, 1999 at Rolling Hills Estates, California. Nick also trained the winner of the 1998 California Professional Horseman’s Association (CPHA) Champion at the Cow Palace. In 1996,
Far West Farms sent Nori Lucas to Spruce Meadows and Ashlee Bond to the Indoor Circuit. Ashlee was Grand Champion at the Capitol Challenge, Harrisburg, and the Washington International. Her pony, Beajolais, was the Chronicle’s Horse of the Year and Ashlee was the World Champion Pony Hunter Rider for the Southwest Region. Far West Farms riders placed in the top ten in all the major medal finals and had the Los Angeles Horse Show Association (LAHSA) high-point rider.
Nick’s consistent success in the show ring throughout the last 26 years has made him one of the most sought after judges and clinicians in the United States. In 1992, his peers elected him CPHA “Horseman of the Year.”When Nick is not showing, judging or giving clinics, he is involved with all the major horse governing bodies on the West Coast in addition to serving as elected member on the American Horse Show Association (AHSA) Zone 10 committee. He has also been President of the CPHA and on the Board of the LAHSA and the
PCHA.
The cost of the clinic will be $375.00 for the 3 days. Please email Karen at karencolston@att.net to receive a registration form. Be sure to include your email address.
