My career began in Wisconsin at the age of 8 years,
where my sister and I began a livery stables, gave kid lessons, bought horses at
the local auction and sold. My interest in horses took me from pleasure
classes to race horse jockey. I trained and raced horses (TB & Quarter
horses) in Utah and Colorado then during my pre- veterinary science studies at
Utah State University, I discovered dressage soon followed by 3 day Eventing
where I competed to Preliminary Level. I successfully developed many
horses and riders through the Eventing levels and owned and operated a 60 horse
full service facility before moving to California for the warm weather. I
have managed over 100 shows including approved dressage, jumper and Horse
Trials. I was the Mountain States Combined Training Association chapter
chair for two years, held an open show judging card for English western halter
and hunters, recipient of USDF Instructor Workshop Award and graduate of the
Colorado State University Equine Reproductive Management and Artificial
Insemination Program. Currently, I own and operate Pacific Equestrian
Center (PEC), with my husband Ron, where our emphasis is on dressage
and sport horse breeding. We have prepared and handled many breed
show horses and stallions for testing. I have been the show
manager and host of the Northern California Sporthorse Breeder’s
Championships and have managed many three star dressage shows.
I have received the USDF bronze, silver and gold medals and continue
with instruction and training of dressage horses.
